Tuning and Bass History

Tuning and Bass History

Electric bass guitar is a stringed instrument that uses electricity to enlarge his voice. Its appearance is similar to an electric guitar but it has a larger body, a longer neck, and usually have four strings, while the electric guitar has six strings.

And bass guitar weigh more heavily than usual electric guitar, this is because the strings are thicker (to preserve modesty tone / sound), causing the wood to choose a more solid and hard to balance takanan the "neck" (guitar neck), but it fret size (columns on guitar) greater adjusted to the thickness of the strings.

There are many types of bass used to date. The most widely used form Ciello contra bass and bass (commonly used for opera performances), electric bass (commonly used for all types of performances, especially the band) and "fretless" bass with electric bass but no fret (column / constraint on board press / neck) on the bass. The working principle is similar to the contra fretless bass / bass Ciello just shaped electric guitar.
